Name: Diane Strong
Age: 33
Occupation: Mostly a stay-at-home mom (two kids ages 2 and 4) with an occasional gig in a research lab.
How often do you exercise? Five times a week
What type of exercise do you do? I run about 25 miles, swim a mile, do 30 minutes of weights three to five times a week and cross train with a class called "Boot Camp" every week.
What gets you to work out, even when you're feeling lazy? It is my anti-depressant, and I always set new goals, which keeps me striving all the time.
What's on your MP3 player? Its an iPod Shuffle and it is everything from rap to R&B to country to alternative.
Favorite healthy food? I LOVE salads, the more it's loaded down with veggies, the better I like it.
Favorite not-so-healthy food? Beer
Greatest fitness accomplishment? I ran my first trail race, is was a 20K and it was amazing. I have also won fastest female a few times.
Best fitness advice? Set goals. You have to have something to work towards and keep you striving.

Diane is hard-core. She went from not-running-at-all to competing in a matter of a few months. If it were possible to take her inspiration and and bottle it, Diane would be a millionaire.
Two very active kids don't wind up being an excuse not to exercise.
Falling down and mangling her leg in one of her first races didn't wind up being an excuse not to exercise.
Heck, the recent ice storms in KY didn't wind up being an excuse not to exercise.
So, what was *your* excuse again? :)
