Ashlee Simpson - She's Completely Disgusted by Jessica's Weight Controversy
Categories: Celebs & Entertainment

"I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight," Ashlee writes on her website. "A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure as a headline on Fox News."
The fat talk began just a few days ago after Jessica appeared at Sunday's Kiss Country Chili Cookout in Pembroke Pines, Florida, sporting high-waisted jeans that were not as flattering as her Daisy Dukes once were (check out a photo right here). And not only did the star belt out some country songs at this event, she also belted those tight-fitting jeans and her black tank top with some double-buckle thing. Maggie told us all about it the other day. And now, we're hearing from little sis: "All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard," says Ashlee. I agree. It's actually a welcome vision for me -- seeing a celebrity look more like an average woman than a starving one. So what if Jessica Simpson has a few extra curves? I surely don't care. Do you?

The headline should read: Ashlee Simpson - She's Completely Disgusted About HEADLINES ABOUT sister Jessica's Weight." The headline you have is completely misleading and wrong. She is not disgusted by her sister's weight, she said "I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight" Two different things.
Quote the comment accurately and learn how to write a correct headline rather than going for false sensationalism.

Glad to see you added the word "controversy" to the headline. It reads much better and represents the facts of the article now : )
Thanks.

I got news for you Jes: As wrong as this is, this is the world you created around yourself and embraced. When your career was launched and buoyed, to some varying degree or another, by the hot body you were all too eager to share and exploit, that was just fine.
So, if at this point, you and/or your family is asking "But but but, what about the music?!" We were asking that same question several years ago.

How sad that this was turned into a weight issue and not left at being a fashion mishap.
The problem is not Jessica Simpson's weight at all; her choice of jeans was very poor. The shorten her waist and elongate her butt. They are as close to a new version of the old "mom jeans" as she could've gotten without actually going to the thrift store to find someones cast-offs.
