Naomi Watts - Baby Sucked Her Slim
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment

Naomi Watts, just shy of one month after giving birth to son Samuel, is pretty much back to her pre-baby figure. And to what does she owe her rapid weight loss? "I'm breast feeding," says the 40-year-old Naomi. "And he's sucking it all out of me, it seems. And when the baby comes out, it's a lot of weight right there."
Yea, I get that. The births of my big babies (both were more than 10 pounds) caused me to shed 20 pounds on their delivery days. But what about the 30 that remained? No way breastfeeding can tackle that pudge. Or can it? Tell us what you think.

I know people dont want to believe it- but this happened to my sister- she lost weight from breatfeeding so fast that i watched her shovel ROWS of oreo cookies into her mouth to try to keep from losing too much weight so she could still produce milk. For her- the breastfeeding was so draining- she lost all her baby weight and then some! When my nephew turned 2 months old she was skinner than i had ever seen her. So yes- it can happen, but I think it depends on the person and their individual metabolism and calorie burning abilities.

I totally can relate to the commenter above. My sister had her baby, and almost immediately, she was thinner than she'd ever been. I want to feed her a burger sometimes! I'm really thin, but I also work out 2 hours a day. And I know she doesn't work out--she just lost the weight through breastfeeding.

It happened for me with my second child. He was exclusively breastfed for 6 months and I also cut out all dairy products. I wasn't toned at all, but I weighed less than I have ever as an adult and was continuously eating.
I'm now a La Leche League leader and I have seen it go both ways, it totally depends on the baby and the mom, but adopting a healthy lifestyle benefits both!

I had four kids, and never gained more than 24 pounds with each, all healthy, normal weight babies, and I was down to my natural weight each time within a few weeks. I breastfed 2 and bottlefed 2.
I think it depends more on your natural body style and genetics.
