America Takes It Off: Shrink a Size - Friday Results for Weigh-In #1

On Wednesday, we asked you to weigh in for the very first time since our America Takes It Off: Shrink a Size initiative began on January 1. We're happy to report that 65 of you stepped on the scale over the past few days and revealed your numbers. Drum roll, please.

You lost a combined 102 pounds!

What an accomplishment! Now, check out these stats:
  • 24.6 percent of you lost 1 pound
  • 23.1 percent of you lost 2 pounds
  • 9.2 percent of you lost 3 pounds
  • 3.1 percent of you lost 4 pounds
  • 9.2 percent of you lost 5 pounds

Way to go, readers! Now, don't be discouraged if you're not a Big Loser this week (30.8 percent of respondents didn't lose any weight this week). It's early. Three challenges and three weigh-ins remain, and you've still got time to shrink a size by the end of the month. Remember: Slow and steady wins to race when it comes to diet and exercise. Just be strong, keep practicing our challenge from this past Monday (portion your plates, eat healthy fats and move lots), don't let this coming weekend derail your diet and come back on Monday for our next challenge.
