Slim Down With Fatty Foods and Alcohol. No, Seriously.
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss
Prominent New York nutritionist Esther Blum thinks you should rely on fatty foods and alcohol to slim down in the new year. You're probably checking the calendar right now but I can assure you it's not April 1st, and Miss Blum is serious. In fact, Teri Hatcher is a follower of her unconventional plan. According to this article from the Daily Mail, Esther Blum's diet is kind of like Atkin's, except you're allowed carbs and alcohol. However, you need to watch that you're sticking to healthy fats and not over-indulging in carbs. As far as alcohol goes, stick to straight shooters to avoid sugary mixers.
What's the reasoning behind this frankly bizarre diet plan? Says Blum, "Women have done their bodies a disservice, because we have disrupted our hormones to a quite phenomenal degree. We have got ourselves to a stage where we can't comprehend that we need good fats to live a healthy life."
Fair enough ... though I'm not really convinced that doing straight shooters of vodka will help you lose weight.

LOL! I think anyone who believes in this should have their head examined. Nowhere did I see any mention (in this all too brief BS of an article) of exercise! I am a firm believer in eating what you want within serious limits. I still eat pasta and bread, but not every night, I eat ice cream, I eat Dorito's! Denial is the surest way to failure. I workout 3-5 days a week, and actually enjoy it, but am hardly fanatical. TRUE experts will tell you that moderation is the key to a long term healthy relationship with food and a better figure.
