Instead of Resolutions, Make Goals

The answer? Too many. Especially since the resolutions are usually always the same, and never end up amounting to much. Odd when you consider that the word resolution sounds so final, huh?
This year, make goals instead of resolutions, and make sure you write them down and put them in a place where you can see them. Stick to just a few so you're not overwhelmed. Make your goals realistic and obtainable -- if you manage to reach them, you can always make new ones, after all. So, for instance, if you want to lose 50 pounds, aim instead to lose one pant size. Once you've done that, you can aim for another pant size, or another 10 pounds and so on. If your goal is getting in shape? Start with a brisk daily walk. Most important, promise yourself something you know you can stick to.
So, indulge me. What's your goal this year?
