When it's time for dinner, plan to stay at the table for a good long time.
A recent study found that women who took 29 minutes to finish a meal felt fuller and ate less than those who wrapped things up in nine minutes.
Put your fork down between bites, and wait before you finish chewing to pick it back up. It might mean the difference between weight gain and weight maintain. A leisurely dinner can also help you unwind after a long day, connect with family at the table and embrace a slow food experience.
