Oprah - "How Could This Happen Again?"
Categories: Celebrities and Entertainment, Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment

After watching her weight zig-zag through a range of about 100 pounds over the years, Oprah Winfrey has done it again. Apparently, she's regained the weight she once worked so hard to lose and is stuck at 200 pounds, in a very uncomfortable position.
Oprah reveals that she had envisioned a beautiful dress to wear to President-Elect Obama's inauguration but is now worried she won't be able to fit into it.
"How could this happen again?" she wonders. After losing weight following very public liquid diets, marathons and detox diets, we're all left to wonder: Will Oprah ever keep the weight off for good? Oprah is clearly wondering the same thing.
Over the years, I've trained plenty of "Oprahs," obese people who have a great amount of success and then almost instantly slide back in to their old habits.
The situation is frustrating, and the solution is not always the same. Oprah's worked with tons of experts but ultimately, only she has control of her body. Of course, I'd love to have my shot at helping her but at the end of the day, I wish her lots of luck and determination.
And for the rest of you struggling with your weight, this goes to prove that tons of money and access to gurus doesn't make weight loss easy. The physical work must be done, the great food choices must be made and the mental resolve must be firm. She can do this. So can you!

You make a great point here. It doesn't come down to the money factor. I always hear people say "Oh, that celebrity is in great shape because he/she can afford a dozen personal trainers and chefs and what not". Well, if you do your homework on how to eat healthy on a budget (which is very doable, though it takes work) and you show some good old fashioned will power, you can get any results that you want.
Bottom line... you've got to have the determination to follow through and embrace this as your new healthier lifestyle... not a diet.
Thanks for the article!
All the Best,

Well, one thing's for sure. She needs to fire her personal trainer!

I'm not a regular fan of the Oprah show, but I know how honest Oprah is about her weight and about her eating problems. I've seen her shows with Dr. Oz and I like how she could be so open about it. Dieting is almost always keeping control – regardless of whether it's about eating or exercising. I can't argue with the exercising part, but I have to say that eating is easier said than done.
