Jillian Michaels - Lemondrop Writer Gets Shredded

30 Minute ShredLet's face it. Sometimes in the world of fitness and nutrition, we're just a bit too perky. "Exercise is fun!" "Just think how great you'll feel!" They may be true statements, but sometimes exercise is damn hard. Alexa Stevenson from Lemondrop just tried out Jillan Michaels' 30 Day Shred workout and it definitely fell into the damn hard category.

I love Alexa's review of the workout, because it's real. It doesn't get more real than admitting she was so sore the day after that "bending my legs to lower myself onto the toilet was nearly impossible." Hey, that's one way to know the squats were really working!

The 30 Day Shred mixes intervals of cardio and toning. Alexa says those short intervals kept her going; while each interval was undeniably intense, knowing she was going to be able to move on to something else soon kept her from quitting. Also, Alexa appreciated Jillian Michaels' trademark no-nonsense delivery.

As "stupefyingly hard" as Alexa found the 30 Day Shred, she's ready to try it again. (Well, as soon as she can raise her arms without passing out.) She's convinced me to try it. How about you?
