Cardio TV - what do you watch at the gym?
Categories: Fitness
I recently came across this post at Lemondrop, and it made me laugh out loud -- I'm totally one of those people who watches Food Network while I knock out a cardio session. Then again, sometimes I watch HGTV or E!, but if there's a game on, I might follow that, while other times I catch up on Days of Our Lives -- somebody has to keep an eye on the evil Stefano DiMera, after all.
I can't say that I pay much attention to what other people watch, unless it's something super trashy on MTV or something. But it does amaze me to see people who seem to be able to follow a complicated plot. I can hardly follow along with my favorite song once I get a couple of miles under my belt.
And now, I'm curious -- what do you tune into when you hit treadmill or StairMaster? Let me know in the comments!

i used to LOVE to watch x-files reruns on the tv's at my gym, otherwise, world news, or a program on discovery, history, or national geographic.
now, unfortunately, the tv's are stuck on three channels that only provide infomercials (the same ones over and over and over) or business news. apparently, the gym gets paid by those channels to show them. just like everyone these days, they're doing everything they can to save and make a buck. alas, it can make for a more mundane cardio workout. :( oh how i miss my tall dark and handsome federal agent and of course the little grey men....
now i just zone out, focus on my intervals, or read a book.

My favorite thing to watch on TV is the news. It's easy to follow along with without paying 100% attention, and is very entertaining!

We got rid of our cable TV subscription so we would have to go to the gym to watch TV. Now we make sure we get there in time for our favorite shows each week.
