Obese kids won't trim down with one hour daily exercise

We keep telling you that kids need a minimum of one hour of moderate exercise a day. It's true, they do. But some kids need more.

One hour of exercise just isn't enough for obese kids, says a new British study. In fact, the study found that exercise alone had no positive effect on weight control over time. Don't get me wrong, here -- it had health benefits, just not weight loss benefits.

It seems improving kids' diets had a greater impact on weight -- and overall health too. Hey, that's what our Fitz always says: Weight loss and maintenance is 80 percent diet and 20 percent exercise. Aha. Same goes for kids, perhaps.
