I am not a candy person to begin with, so there is no way that because this holiday goes hand-in-hand with candy, I will feel as if I "need" to do so. Kind of like if one was not a turkey person, but ate it anyway on Thanksgiving because "that is what we do."
I will be attending a big halloween bash where, no doubt, I will indulge in a few drinks. While it's not "healthy" per se, I know my limits...and frankly, I would rather have a drink to celebrate the holiday than have candy, which I know would make me feel horrible afterward and to me is not even worth the sugar and calories.
