Daily Fit Tip: Kids should eat before they trick-or-treat
Categories: Daily Fit Tip
The countdown to Halloween has begun. Kids are itching to get out there and score some candy. But there's one thing parents need to do before the festivities begin.
In many cities, trick-or-treating starts at 6 PM. That leaves precious little time after work to get costumes on and get everyone out the door. But even if you have to squeeze it in, don't skip out on feeding the kids a nutritious dinner. Not only will it give them fuel so that they can have their fun, it'll also slow down the candy binge when they get back home.
Make dinner Halloween night more appealing by serving a spooky or seasonal meal. Try some delicious pumpkin recipes, or celebrate the night with cuisine that's a little ... creepier.
