Despite your best healthy intentions, there's one unhealthy influence in your child's life that could be damaging his or her health:The corner store. And, despite the efforts of hundreds of schools to carry healthier fare, many kids are undermining these healthy trends by frequenting the nearest convenience store and stocking up on junk food, according to this article from USA Today. How's that for progress?

Kids will be kids, I guess. When I was old enough to leave the school grounds, I remember forsaking my healthy, homemade lunch in for a bag of chips on a regular basis -- and all my friends were doing it too.

So what's the solution? Make junk food only available to those 18 and older? Take away kids' allowances? How do your keep your youngster from buying junk food? Can you stop them?
