Wanna lose weight fast? Nine eggs a day might help
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss, Celebs & Entertainment
One would think that celebrity chef Nigella Lawson would have no trouble coming up with healthy, low-cal meals to help her hubby shed some pounds. But her significant other, Charles Saatchi, decided to lose weight the monotonous way -- by eating the same thing day in and day out. For every single meal. His food of choice? Eggs.According to reports out of the UK, Saatchi ate eggs for every meal, three eggs per meal. That works out to nine eggs a day. As for results? He's lost an impressive 56 lbs on the diet.
It's not the worst diet I've ever heard of -- after all, eggs are healthier than, say, a diet of French fries. And eggs -- particularly the yolks -- are rich in nutrients, high in protein, low in carbs and relatively low in calories, though I don't think adding a few veggies to the mix would hurt at all. Plus, I don't know about you but I would get bored of eating the same thing all the time, and I think a successful weight loss plan should be founded on habits that you can maintain in the long run.

Very interesting. Who would have ever guessed? Eggs? Can't wait foe the M&Ms diet. I know what it's like to try and lose weight. I lost 47 pounds in 6 weeks using the Rapidthin diet at www.rapidthin.com. Good luck to all. Use what works for you.

1 egg is about 70 calories...so 9 eggs adds up to only 630 calories. No wonder he lost weight, he was starving himself!

Yes, I'm always sceptical when I hear of these diets where people just eat one food type like baked beans or eggs. Firstly because it sounds so dull, and secondly because what happens when they stop it and start eating normally again? I, for one, couldn't do it (live on one food type). It doesn't sound very nutritious either.

Hi,
I used to be pretty obese and started putting on a lot of weight especially on my thighs and bottom in my late thirties. I started exercising as often as possible and also cut down on a lot of high calorie stuff. Unfortunately I hardly managed to lose any weight at all. I then recently read an article by a lady who claimed that she managed to lose nearly half of her weight using a particular weight loss product. I tried it out and it actually worked really well. Within 4 months I managed to shave off 65 pounds completely. The results were pretty amazing and I feel so much healthier and energetic now without having to carry all that extra weight around. You can read more about the lady's article at the link below

There have been a few studies out, none that I can reference now, that show that eating the same meal consistantly over a long period of time can damage your liver.
