Trying to cut calories? Try this tip for keeping yourself out of your refrigerator after-hours.
Late night snacking won't necessarily make you gain weight. But if you're trying to lose weight, mindless eating in front of the TV can pack on unnecessary calories.
Try this little mental trick: Pick a time of day -- after dinner or early evening -- and close your kitchen for the night. Do the dishes, wipe the counter tops, and wrap the leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. Then turn off the light and declare your kitchen closed. No late night snacks, no quick bowl of chips -- once the kitchen is closed, eating is over for the night. In the morning, you can open your kitchen again and feel good about going to bed without a full belly!
