Daily Fit Tip: Be honest

Having trouble sticking to a diet plan? Always falling short of your fitness goals? The answer could be as simple as being honest -- REALLY honest -- with yourself.

If you're not able to stick to a plan and lose weight it might help to examine what kinds of things you're expecting yourself to do and whether or not they're realistic for your lifestyle and personality, i.e. what's working for your neighbor or your best friend might not work for you. Analyze fitness goals too -- maybe 120 pounds isn't realistic for you if you have a muscular build or (like me) are especially tall.

So if you keep getting derailed and discouraged, take a good look at what you're trying to do and how you're trying to do it -- are your methods working with your lifestyle? Are your goals too big or too small? Even ask your close friends and family for their thoughts if you think it might help, sometimes outside perspectives can really shake up your own and help get you back on the track to success.
