Trying to cut back on carbs for weight loss? Try some of these creative and delicious substitutes.Carbs have their place in any diet, but if you're trying to limit yours, you don't have to go on the meat and bacon express. Instead, turn to healthy carbs. Carbohydrates like those found in vegetables will give you the energy and the nutrition you need, without packing on the pounds.

AOL Health has several suggestions for healthy carb substitutes, such as:
  • Eating squash instead of potatoes, or making cauliflower taste like mashed potatoes.
  • Using zucchini in place of noodles in pasta dishes.
  • Eat a spaghetti squash instead of spaghetti.
  • Make your pancakes out of oatmeal and cottage cheese, instead of pancake mix.
