Eat naked and lose weight
Categories: Diet & Weight Loss
Would the site of your naked body wolfing down a sandwich be enough to turn you off lunch? That's the premise behind the 'Naked Lunch' diet idea: Eat your meals in the nude in front of the mirror, and the site of all your flaws exposed -- love handles included -- will cause you to think twice about taking a second helping. Although it should go without saying that this should be practiced only for at-home meals. And avoid eating hot soup.
Extreme? Yes. Does it work? Maybe; I've never tried it -- but I can definitely see the logic behind this. What do you think? Would you eat in the buff? Would it keep you from eating too much?

This is a "trick" anorexics use and promote on pro-ana sites. Shame on this blog for putting it out there as if it should be legitimately considered as part of your fitness arsenal. The whole principle behind it is self-loathing to stop yourself from eating.

I definitely think this would get me to watch what I ate better. I'm not overweight (145lbs), but not exactly skinny, and still have many pudgy spots that are especially obvious when I'm sitting down.
Don't think I'll be doing this. Although I'm sure my boyfriend wouldn't complain ^_~

I might try it if I lived alone, but I don't =/

It CAN be legitimate, seeing as normal people don't actively hate themselves over their body shape. And again, normal people won't just completely stop eating because they're seeing themselves in the mirror. The people who'd do that are probably already practicing unhealthy eating habits (anorexia?)

Hmmm.. eating naked. I don't think that would work for me. I think any woman that has a realistic weight goal and a normal figure will feel skin rubbing and feel icky. I want to enjoy my food and feel good about myself. Not be reminded about my inperfections.
I strive to eat healthy and lead by example for my daughters. I eat flax every morning for health and wieght loss reasons. I have the same breakfast now every day. I recently lost 30 pounds following the weight watchers program http://www.weightwatchers.com and I now just am more watchful every day of what I eat. I have a
banana low fat yogurt with golden roasted flax for breakfast every day. It is filling, keeps me regular and tastes fabulous. My Weight Watchers leader recommended fitflax to me and it definitely helped
the last 10 pounds to melt off. It is a flax and chia blend and I think I read about it in O mag. They also listed a code to get 15% ff. The site is http://www.fitflax.com and the code for 15% off is FT15
Eating is a good thing that should be enjoyed, trying to make yourself feel bad to eat less is silly and unhealthy!

I live alone and spend *most* of my time naked. And my bedroom closet doors are mirrored so I watch myself eating naked all the time - doesn't help. The cheese or ice cream still taste too good, lol.

when I could quit laughing long enough to think, I think this just might be the reminder I need to cut back on the second helpings. Which I think is the whole idea of the article, isn't it?

This same technique is also recommended in a successful diet that has been around almost forever. For years the RapidThin at www.rapidthin.com has recommended this. The best advice is to use techniques and methods that work for YOU.
