O'Connell apologizes for "huge" mistake
Categories: Celebs & Entertainment
Actor Jerry O'Connell has been talking a lot lately about his pregnant-with-twin-girls wife Rebecca Romijn. We told you he was on the run for her cravings in this post, and now we hear he's been commenting about her size with Conan O'Brien on late-night TV. "Huge," he called her.O'Connell has issued a big fat apology to his Ugly Betty-starring wife: "I meant to say that there are specific areas of my wife that are larger than normal and growing every day. All other portions of my wife are quite petite. I apologize to her and will be coming home with flowers."
Good boy.

Jerry O'Connell is a mama's boy, smash the wedding cake in the beautiful girls face kind of guy. Like John Stamos. Gorgeous Rebecca Romijn needs to find out why she's attracted to insensitive louts.

Well isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? kind of sort of anyway. Wasn't Jerry O'Connell a big "huge" boy when he starred in Stand by Me? and yeah maybe there are parts of her that are growing but that's because she's carrying his tw.ins. It's his wife he should have some respect

You know I have to give him credit for coming back and admitting what an idiot he was. Can we for once give the guy (or any one for that matter) the benefit of the doubt?

Why do we have to take everything someone says to heart? Give the guy a break! And not his arm! When I was having a baby, I swear I was as wide as I was tall! Hubby had a field day with that....it was adorable. Not one person told him to behave. Now...if it had been ANY ONE else that said it...well...need I say how badly I would have felt? So...give that guy a break. At least he loves her and is married to her. It's more than most of Hollywood. They just keep having those babies and forget about that ring. Talk about THOSE people!

OMG, are you telling me that Jerry O'Connell is human? Who would've thought? You mean celebrities say things that are insensitive or odd? Yes, the man's no different from anybody else. He's probably excited about his wife being pregnant, and he simply said way to much out of being excited. It's not the first time, and it surely won't be the last. He apologized for it. Since when are we so high and mighty that we have to put people down for everything?

Oh everyone needs to just get over it. Pregnant women get huge! He didn't say fat, ugly, rotund, or sloppy. All he said was huge and it's true. I'm 5 months pregnant and I can't wait til they can call me huge. You guys are way to sensitive and also let me point out...IT"S REBECCA ROMIJN!! i could call her the fattest ugliest women I had ever seen ad all she would have to do is remind herself who she is. She knows she looks amazing.

i know he did not mean what he said in that way. he just was not thinking. i can see when they are together that he loves her very much. i don't think he meant to hurt her. good luck to both on the babies. she deserves it.

ooOOoo He said his wife pregnant with twins was huge. I'll bet she is huge. Big Deal. I think Jerry was just trying to be funny. Hasn't anyone seen his Tom Cruise impersonation?

My stupid insensitive husband said "yuk" 35 years ago. He now realizes he was inmature and insensitive. It takes a long time for boys to mature! We're stlill together and he worships me. Go figure?

OMG...Jerry O'Connell said something that I'm sure every woman who has ever been pregnant (and their husbands/boyfriends/significant others) have thought at least once during their pregnancies...they're huge.
If you didn't grow while carrying your child (and this poor, slender woman who has probably starved herself to stay thin prior to this pregnancy), something is either wrong with you or your child and you'd better see the doctor, quickly.
Jerry, while I thank you for being a sweet husband and father-to-be for apologizing (I'm sure the comment hit a hormonal mother-to-be), you are being just as honest and normal as every other person out there.
Unfortunately, you just said it on national television and someone had to make an issue of it...
