Daily Fit Tip: Quit picking

Are you the person who does most of the cooking in your house? If so, you're at risk for a very serious condition: Food picking syndrome.

Ok, I made that up. But picking at food is a real problem when you're trying to lose weight. I'm sure you've been there--while cooking for the family, you take a bite here and a bite there. It all seems very harmless, but if you took the time to count those bites up, I bet you'd be in for an unpleasant surprise. Those bites can add up to mega calories!

But what can you do to curb pre-meal picking, short of getting your spouse or kids to cook? Diet Blog recently addressed this problem and came up with some clever suggestions -- like chewing gum while you cook.
