Fit Beauty - von Natur Mineral Makeup is worth the price
Categories: Natural Products, Organic, Vegetarian, Alternative & Green Health

I won't to lie to you -- I don't generally spend a lot of cash on makeup. I buy what you find at the drugstore, and even then, I look for a sale. My reasoning is simple -- I've never used something high end that felt like it was worth the price. If it's not all that different, why would I pay more?
There are reasons to pay more -- being particular about the ingredients is one, and of course, if it's can't-live-without-it amazing, I'm happy to save my pennies. But first, I need to know it's worth it.
I received samples of von Nature's Mineral Makeup Eye Colour, Sunset Light Face & Body Shimmer, and Magnolia Powder Foundation in the mail, and busted out my brushes immediately. For someone who is so involved in fashion and beauty, I have embarrassingly little experience with mineral makeup because it tends to cost more, and without trying it, I wasn't willing to spend the extra cash.
I tried the foundation first, and while I liked the feel of it, the color was not quite right for me -- way too light. However, the Face & Body Shimmer is fabulous -- it's a bronzer, and it's just beautiful. I don't need a lot, and it leaves a beautiful bronze behind.
But the Eye Colour is where I found true love. I have a hard time finding colors that really stand out on my skin -- unless it's a really dark color, it sort of just fades away. But these! Oh! The vibrancy with just one sweep of the brush blew my mind! From the pink and peachy tones to darker brown, they went on beautifully and stayed perfect until I removed them later that night -- no creasing, no fading, no problem.
The Eye Color can be used as an eyeliner as well, by using a wet eyeliner brush, so even though you're spending $16 on a pot, you can really get double duty out of it -- maybe more if you're really skilled.
Just as importantly, the colors don't crease -- very important for someone who's prone to oily eyelids (not like I ever have that problem). That means von Natur has a huge assortment of fun, vibrant eye shadows that are talc-, fragrance-, and cruelty-free as well as non-comedogenic, vegan friendly (in most colors), that wear well? My other eyeshadows are jealous. They should be -- next on my list is the Tanzanite and the Moonstone, which means some of my cheaper shadows are on their way out.
