Thank running for your saggy skin
Categories: Fitness

When you pound the pavement, the force of your body jostling can cause collagen to break down, which can lead to sagging skin, says dermatologist Dennis Gross of NYC. Hey, running is not so great for your knees either. I guess walking is the way to go -- although I don't plan to abandon the run just yet. How about you?

For the most part Running is Not Bad for your knees. Running is only bad when you d too much to soon (too fast or too long). And this is true for most types of weight bearing exercise (running, walking, weight lifting). Also to note, weight bearing exercise has been shown to build bone and joint strength. Remember the key aspects of exercise is Physical Stress (which leads to a slight breakdown of body tissues), Rest (healing of tissues), repeat Physical Stress. Too much Physical Stress without enough rest or recover over a period of time leads to over training and/or injuries. Running is not bad for the knees, too much weight bearing exercise too fast is.
