Daily Fit Tip: Don't be a nag

You practice healthy habits. Your partner/family member/close friend does not. It's only natural for you to want to inspire someone you care about to live a healthier life. But how?
Sometimes the most obvious way to encourage someone to live healthfully is by giving them a hard time when they do something unhealthy. You know, the seemingly harmless offhanded remarks like, you know how much fat is in that serving of fries? or really, you're going to watch TV all evening when it's a great night for a run?

But the truth is: nobody likes a nag. So zip it. You're just creating a negative atmosphere.

A better way to inspire your loved ones? Be supportive and understanding, and lead by example. And be sure to check out this post from Mark's Daily Apple for some great tips on how to help your friends and family be healthier.
