When it comes to fitness, your steps can really add up. So how many are you getting?
Wait, let's start by talking about how many you should be taking: 10,000 a day. Sound high? It is. 10,000 steps a day is the equivalent of 5 miles. You don't need to fit these all in at one go -- a sedentary person takes an average of 1,000 to 3,000 steps a day, so adding in an hour of walking should probably do the trick. And of course, steps taken during a run or a go on the elliptical trainer count.
