Taking care of our personal health is always a priority, and now taking care of the planet's health is a growing one too it so seems only natural to combine the two.
One way to do that is to green up your medicine cabinet -- what better place to go organic and chemical-free than in the products you use every day? From going "anti-antibacterial" to using recycled products (this toothbrush actually comes with a prepaid label for sending it back once it's old and used up), Forbes has a great list of earth-friendly medicine cabinet tips. Here are a few of their suggestions:

- Don't flush unused prescription meds down the toilet -- instead crush them, mix them with coffee grounds, saw dust, or kitty litter, and put them in the trash
- Go to the natural source when possible, i.e. ditch the burn ointment and get an aloe vera plant instead
- Refrain from stockpiling medications like antibiotics -- odds are you won't end up having exactly what you need when you need it anyway, or if you do it will probably be expired!
