Let Olympic inspiration become perspiration

Watching the Olympics tends to make me excited to hit the gym -- I want to swim like Michael Phelps, or gain strength and flexibility like Nastia Liukin. I hope other people find inspiration in these amazing athletes and act upon that inspiration.

However, I find a lot of people use the Olympics as an excuse to sit and watch TV (and, possibly, even order unhealthy food, as Chris pointed out). And I say, no more! Get inspired, and then perspire!

Watching live finals at 10 p.m. might not make it feasible to hit the gym right away, in which case you can save your serious workouts for the following day. However, if you're watching during primetime or earlier in the day, I've got a few ideas for burning calories during commercial breaks. Check out the gallery, and be sure to leave a comment if you think you have a better move!
