O' Douls is an NA (non-alcoholic) beer. It might have 65 calories per 12-ounce serving, but it also contains 13.30 grams of carbohydrates. The amber version contains 90 calories and a whopping 18 grams of carbs.

Low calorie or high calorie beer has no effect on most people's diet. Considering that the overwhelming number of people on a diet don't lose weight, in fact a lot of them end of gaining weight. They should just stay fat and happy and drink the heavy beer.

You'll end up drinking too much if you have light beer, so go ahead and enjoy a good full flavored Coors(not Coors light) or Pabst Blue Ribbon. Forget the snobs who drink imported beer; the best beers are made in America and after enjoying a nice cool Pabst, everything else tastes empty.

Red Stripe Light has such a great flavor and full body, you can drink just one. I have lost two dress sizes in the last year and that was one of my adjustments, instead of Heineken I have a Red Stripe Light.

It's too bad God doesn't unleash a global flood of light beer , drowning light beer drinkers and leaving behind only proper brew and serious beer drinkers.

light beer has more water and less alcohol hence the fewer calories. I agree a good (local) fresh full-bodied beer is best, esp. on draught because then it is not pasteurized and likely contains more of those good for you fermented thingymajogs (forgive the technical term :))
Anyone in NC? Please enjoy http://redoakbrewery.com/home.php
on draught - they refuse to bottle/pasteurize their most excellent brew!
