Daily Fit Tip: Check the expiry date on that sunscreen
Posted on Jul 23rd 2008 6:03AM by Martha EdwardsStill using last year's sunscreen? Maybe you shouldn't bother -- sunscreen expires, and once that date has passed, it's no longer effective.
Yep, it's true. According to AOL Health, expired sunscreen won't protect you from sun burn, sun damage and skin cancer. So really, what's the point?
Yeah, I know sunscreen is expensive, but it's so important. Using sunscreen can really reduce your chances of developing cancer. What's more, protecting your skin from sun damage will help keep your skin in good shape for years to come.
So check that expiry date, and if it's passed, toss it.
