Eight drugs your doctor won't take
It's not any sort of exaggeration to say that we trust our healthcare professionals with our lives. We rely on them to give us proper care, diagnose any current or potential problems and give us effective treatments that won't jeopardize our quality of life. But with pharmaceuticals being a multi-billion dollar industry, it's hard to know if a doctor recommends a medication because of a true belief in the product or because she or her has a 'vested interest,' if you get my drift.
Our friends over at AOL Health did a bit of digging and came up with a list of Eight drugs your MD wouldn't personally take. Which, if course, begs the question: If a doctor wouldn't take it, why are you taking it?
The list includes Avandia, Celebrex, Advair, Prilosec and a number of others. Read the full list and explanations why from real doctors by clicking here.

You can also add TPA or the clot buster from genetech. Results for strokes or CVAs is minimal and the side effects are significant. Neurologists use it because Genentech has pushed the drug so hard that it is now the "substandard of care". As a former ED doctor I have alot of experience with TPA. One study, that's one study in 1998 showed minimal improvement and Genentech has refused to finance any more studies. Every neurologist will tell you that we need more research on this drug. TPA costs $1,000.00 to $2,000.00 per dose.
