Daily Fit Tip: Buy your sneakers in the afternoon

When it comes to buying running shoes, the kind you buy isn't the only determinant in a successful sale -- the time of day you shop at is also an important factor.
Why? The answer, according to this post on Fitsugar, is simple: Feet swell. They're smallest in the morning and they expand ever so slightly as the day goes on, particularly if it's a hot one. By shopping in the afternoon, you can ensure that your sneakers fit best under all conditions, and you won't be in for any 'pinching' surprises.
Also, make sure you bring along your athletic socks and wear them when trying on shoes. Mine are a little bit more padded than my regular socks, so my running shoe size might change depending on what I'm wearing on my feet.
After all, good shoes aren't cheap -- make sure you're purchasing the best ones for you.
