No anti-aging secret for Meredith Vieira

About her anti-aging secret, 54-year-old Meredith Vieira says: "I don't have one." She does have good people, though -- none of whom are plastic surgeons.

One good person is NBC President Jeff Zucker, who hired Vieira as Today co-host. Passing up for the job folks in their 20s and 30s, Zucker told Vieira, who has been in front of a camera for nearly two decades: "I want someone with experience. I'm not looking for a number, I'm looking for a human being."

"I give him a lot of credit [for] that," says Vieira, who joins the ranks of women like Jamie Lee Curtis who take aging as it comes and accept it with simple grace. Vieira's kids help the cause. They don't care about her celebrity or anyone else's obsession with it, she says.

I'm with Meredith and Jamie Lee. I turned 50 last year and will be 51 the end of this month. I don't have a lot of wrinkles and very few gray hairs, but those I have, I earned! I love being in my 50s. I remember my grandmothers were old (and died) in their 60s, but my Dad was young when he died at 61. My sister is 63 and by no means old. I don't think I will mind the 60s either. It is getting younger all the time. My mother-in-law is 92 and shows no signs of leaving us any time soon! I look and all the celebrities who have had work done and now know why they call it PLASTIC surgery!

Yep Meredith IS a hottie with charm and class, don't know about her a__ but I bet it is at least o.k. too. Now Jaimie, is in another category, will never forget the scene in "trading places" those babies were NICE. Age, the number is way over blown. Provided that we take care of ourselves, IF we ever had any looks they will remain, AND looks and class and charm are overwhelming to this 66 year old guy anyway.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but those "babies" weren't hers. Which is why she did an article a few years ago about not wanting to ever have someone elses body with her face in a movie or anything else.

Meredith Vieira is pure class, and genuine as well!! Not sure why "millionaire" isn't on every night anymore. One of my favorites. She is/was perfect for that show!

I think she looks 10 years older then her age. And this is with a TV makeup crew. There is no shame in using a little lotion at night and some sun protection. That's not plastic surgery. The better you look, the better you feel. Jamie Lee needs to grow her hair out and try looking like a woman again. I swear, a little makeup, a little hair and she would look 20 years younger. Who hurt her so bad that she wants to look so horrible to keep everyone away? If she is trying to look like a 60 year old man, it's working.

I am 48, fit and healthy. I use lotion and sunscreen but spent my childhood in sun-filled ignorance, and now how lots and lots of wrinkles. I look older than I am but cannot fix it short of plastic surgery which is expensive and dangerous. So please don't say"a little lotion" would solve the problem. It won't. Sun damage, stress, etc have cumulative effects that cannot be "lotioned" or "exercised" or "hydrated"away.

I think Meredith is older than 54, I rmember she was 48 on the View and I was 5 years younger than her, now I am only 3 years younger???
She looks ok but I know she has had some botox and Restalyne a few years ago*

I think Meridith looks great, but Anne Curry is even more beautiful - she's 50 something and could easily pass for 20 years younger.

Rather I "heard" she (Meredith) had botox and restalayne a few years ago, Jamie Lee should color her hair, other than that she looks ok too*

I like Meredith, but she should want to get rid of those wrinkles. Yes age is a GOOD thing, but what is so wrong with looking fabulous for your age? She knows that she could benefit from Botox!

JLC looks nice, but the gray hair needs some color. MV is very attractive, but those wrinkles are very obvious. A little botox and/or Restylane would do wonders. Also, there are many affordable (like she has to worry) creams that are "instant" for a few hours. Also, why doesn't she have TV makeup? Just using some mineral makeup will make a big difference. There are too many cosmetics out there that would make a world of difference, especially when one is on camera. Not everyone does plastic surgery and they look terrific. Stay out of the sun, get some cosmetic advice and keep your hair a lighter color and not too short - there will be a positive difference.
