You use it every day to get clean. But could that shower poof of yours be harvesting dangerous bacteria that could affect your health?
The answer is yes. According to The Beauty Brains, shower poofs are a prime breeding spot for bacteria, primarily because they have a steady supply of water that helps bacteria thrive. Chances are this won't kill you or even make you seriously ill, but it can be dangerous so it's a good idea to regularly throw out your old shower poof and buy a new one. If that's too expensive for your taste, do like one reader suggested and throw it in the washing machine with your towels once a week.
