Travelling this summer? Anticipating jet lag? You might be surprised to hear that new research suggests that a great way to cure jet lag is by skipping meals
That's right -- it all comes down to our circadian rhythms, which get messed up when we travel to different time zones. But according to research, skipping a meal when you reach another time zone can help reset your internal clock and re-adjust to a new schedule more quickly. But for most of us. skipping a meal when we've undergone the stress of travel goes against instinct -- the first thing I do when I get off the plane is grab a bite to eat to ward off the crankiness of the sleep and food deprivation. Still, if you can swing it, give it a try!

Wait -- aren't we told that skipping meals is always unhealthy? Well, yes, but skipping one here and there in the interest of adjusting to a new time zone won't hurt. Just don't make a habit of it.
