Are you tired? Yawning, stretching, feeling unfocused and unenergetic? If that sounds like you, read up on some tests you might want to take.

woman yawningWe all feel run down from time to time. When our schedules get hectic or we're under some extraordinary stress, it can catch up with you and sap your energy. But when feeling tired is your norm, there may be something more going on.

Unless you're certain there's an issue at hand, it's probably wise to make some lifestyle changes before rushing off to the doctor. Do what you can to make sure you're getting sound sleep... and enough of it. Also be sure to exercise, eat healthfully, and avoid caffeine and alcohol. If, after two or three weeks, you're still feeling constantly fatigued, make an appointment with your doctor. Fatigue is a symptom of several different conditions including:
  • Anemia
  • Diabetes
  • Depression
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Thyroid Disease
Visit your doctor and discuss your fatigue. There are tests your doctor can schedule to rule out any of the above conditions.
