It's time for your first or fastest 5K/10K

If you haven't registered for a 5K or 10K run in years -- perhaps never -- it's high time to set a goal and train for it. As summer training breezes begin to blow, here's your chance to strengthen your heart, lungs, muscles and shed fat! I've got two local races on the radar, one in August and one in September. I am going to register for one of them. How about you?
I've been regularly running a little over two miles outdoors the past few months, along with 5Ks on the treadmill. But if I had to run an outdoor 5K today, it would hurt. In my quest to train I just came across these handy 5K and 10K training guides, by Girls Gotta Move Coach Jenny Hadfield, to guide us in completing our first ever or fastest ever 5K or 10K race this summer. I say "us" because you're going to scour your list of local races today, register for one, and cross the finish line with me this summer, right?
Now take these next steps -- 1. Register for a local 5K or 10K race today; 2. Print out a training guide and stick it on your fridge; 3. Start training and witness the transformation as you lose fat, gain muscle and condition your heart and lungs!
