Toned legs just a flip flop away
Categories: Fitness
Think it's possible to burn calories and get fit just by wearing a certain type of flip flop? I don't. Some might disagree.
Get longer, leaner-looking legs just by walking around, say the folks at Victoria's Secret. Just buy their FitFlops and you'll burn calories and tone legs with every step. Engineered to engage muscles, lessen joint impact, and absorb shock, these flipper floppers can apparently accomplish the following fitness feats.
- Strengthen and tone muscles in the feet, legs, buttocks, stomach, and back
- Absorb shock on the feet, knees, and back
- Tone and trim the thighs, calves, and glutes
- Recreate the gait of barefoot walking with a built-in micro-wobbleboard workout-enhancing effect
- Improve balance and posture
Who needs an actual workout now that these summery sandals are on the market -- for a mere $49.95, by the way. Hey, no one ever said a lean, mean body comes cheap. I, for one, still need my actual workouts. The only reason I'd ever get myself a pair of FitFlops is for fashion alone -- they are kind of cute. Or, of course, I happen to come across someone whose body has been successfully sculpted by these fitness shoes.
Anyone willing to get some FitFlops and tell us how well they work?

I just bought a pair. Don't ask me why. I am fit and maintain that through a healthy diet and exercise - the tried and true method. I will let you know if I see any difference- I doubt it. Just had a splurge moment - I paid $60 as an on-line order at VS with standard shipping so I will wear them for awhile if I like it or not!

I got these almost two weeks ago. I wear them about 8 hours a day every day. They do not work and are a complete waste of money. I suppose if someone is in bad shape they might get some exercise from them but I certainly did not.
