How Many Calories ... in an Iced Cappuccino?
Categories: How Many Calories?
I'm a major coffee fanatic, but when the weather is hot, I find myself craving something cooler than a big, hot, steaming cup of java. And what fills that kind of void better than an iced cappuccino? Nothing, if you ask me. They're cool, delicious, with just the right amount of creaminess and coffee flavour. One popular establishment here in Canada, Tim Hortons, has the best iced caps.
But while coffee itself is pretty low in calories (calorie free, in fact, if you skip the cream and sugar!), you can't usually control what goes into a slushy coffee drink. It comes with lots of sugar and cream already in it, and the result usually tastes so good that you know it can't be good for you. What do you think?
The answer is 640 calories, along with 30 g of fat and 20 teaspoons of sugar. Ugh! If I wanted that much sugar, I would eat an entire box of chocolates.
I guess this isn't really that shocking -- Ice caps are made with cream, topped with whipped cream and flavoured with sugar. You're better off asking to have your ice cap made with milk instead of cream. Or better yet? Treat yourself to Starbucks and ask for an iced coffee, iced non-fat latte or iced Americano.

Is that a small, or meduim or a large ice cap? On weight watchers you can have a small ice cap with milk and it is only 3 points.

I work at Tim Horton's and a small Iced Cappucino (10oz) with milk which is normally 2% is 150 calories with 1.5g fat, 5mg cholesteral, 35mg sodium, 32g carbohydrates, and yes a high content of sugar at 32g, and if you can get chocolate milk it may vary depending on the provider it may only contain 1% milk. For those who are lactose, ask for your Ice Capp with our whipped topping for it does not contain dairy but possibly alot more sugar.
