Anti-inflammatory foods to the rescue

Inflammation is on my mind. I've got this lingering swelling as a result of my tummy tuck and after four weeks of recovering, you'd think it would be gone. Well, it's not. And while I'm technically giving it another few weeks -- a whole six weeks is required for optimal healing -- I'm also on the lookout for anything I can do to help matters along.Canyon Ranch nutritionists say anti-inflammatory food is key and in their latest version of Connection magazine, they suggest eating fatty fish, organic soy, walnuts, canola oil, dark green veggies, ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, and honey. Off to the store I go.
These food experts also name a good number of inflammation-causing culprits. Meat, butter, margarine, baked goods, fried foods, and excess sunflower, soybean, and corn oils top the list -- basically anything full of omega-6 fats, animal fats, and trans fats. None of these for me.
Got any tips for naturally reducing the inflammation that plagues me?
