What men crave: Real bodies
Gabriel Olds is a Hollywood actor. He's appeared on CSI, Law & Order: SVU and Six Feet Under, and his most recent film is Life of the Party. Usually the bad guy on TV, Olds is really a pretty good guy. Why? Because when it comes to women, it isn't fake boobs or fixed noses he prefers. Forget puffy lips and implanted buttocks. This guy like the real thing. It took this guy a string of unsuccessful dates to figure out exactly what he wanted: Real bodies. He suspects other guys feel the same way.
"This is the part I think women don't understand," says Olds in a Glamour magazine interview. "When a guy falls in love, his lover's body parts become bewitching. I'm not going to tell you that our heads don't turn when we see a stacked blond walking down the street. But when we fall for you -- really, really fall for you -- you hijack our sense of beautiful. What's sexy to us? You -- in the "before" picture."
Maybe it's not fair for Olds to judge -- my recent fixed tummy doesn't make me any less lovable, after all -- and he recognizes this: " ... it wasn't my place to judge," he says. "But then questions would fill my head: Is this woman really who she seems to be? Am I dating the person or the persona? Inevitably my attraction to them floundered, and the relationship did too. I had, it seemed, a real issue with all the nipping and tucking going on in the dating world."
My point here -- and Olds' point too, I venture to guess -- is that perhaps your body is perfect just as it is. Keep it healthy, keep it strong, and you're in good shape. Worried about a crooked nose, flat lips, small ta-tas? Forget about it. Chances are these are the very things your loved one loves most.

For what people do women (and men, too) have nips and tucks and "overhauls" done? Somewhere it's written that these things are done for ourselves and not to impress other people. It's sad that a lot of facial cosmetic work looks unnatural and sometimes even grotesque when poorly executed. Those puffy lips and tight eyes are definitely a turn off so those who wear them are probably their only amirers. Healthy, natural, and unenhanced is really the most attractive in the long run. Too bad the show biz images influence way too much.

I knew a guy once who was in love with one of my friends. She had large calves and ankles. She was self-concious about them and they bothered her.
But he LOVED them because he loved her! He wasn't "into" chubby ankles or legs...he was "into" her.
One of the sweetest moments of my life was sitting outside on a spring day, listening to a man of integrity and wit expound on this woman's goodness, her beauty and his absolute delight in those oh-so-unattractive ankles.
