We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs Weekly Roundup: May 9, 2008

Britney Spears has been amazing in a number of ways lately, but most of them have not been positive, to say the least. However, she is apparently amazing her trainer, Marc Corliss, with her dedication. He states that her commitment and attitude are the reasons she's been able to drop 15 pounds in the last four weeks. Honestly, I would be surprised if she has dropped that much weight -- she is looking healthier, but that's a lot of weight to lose in such a short time. Either way, it's nice to see her smiling, and I'm happy to see that fitness is playing a role in her recovery.
Mario Lopez is sharing his hot body secrets in his book, Mario Lopez's Knockout Fitness, which goes on sale May 13. He's currently out stumping for the book, and while he admits that it's hard to find time for fitness, he believes everyone can achieve their best body. It's certainly helpful for him that his current job requires that he dance all day, but he has some down-to-earth tips -- eat healthy, keep a journal, and stay focused. Sounds like good advice to me!
Kim Cattrall's man is the motivation behind her increased commitment to working out, but not in the way you might imagine. The 51-year-old actress and 28-year-old-chef are very happy together, but he cooks delicious food for her and "lies about not putting butter" in it, so she has to hit the gym harder to keep it from catching up to her.
5 rules for cheating on your diet!

First the women bashing/hating critics from Hollywood that wish they had female genitalia tore Britney apart for mental illness, then her drug addiction (possibly to drown their daily dose of hatefulness), then the loss of custody of her kids, and now "she is too thin."
America! Be on the alert for misogynistic men (heterosexual and homosexual alike) who want to see women hairless like a 8 year old girls, and their bodies as as skinny as a prisoner in a concentration camp, slandered and jobless so that they can spit on them in the street. American men are deviant pigs.

Rachael,
Stop blaming and bashing men. Stop putting the blame on them for women with low self esteem or unhealthy habits. Men aren't forcing women to think, act, or react in a certain way. People are responsible for themselves. Someone once told me "People have only as much power and control over you as YOU allow them to." That's so true.

Not all men want woman hairless like a 8 yr old and like u state. If you had a guy that did that doesnt mean all men are like that. That would be like guys saying that every girl want their man to be tall dark and handsome. Dont blame the whole group for one persons mistake.

Yeah and most women don't want men to be hung like a bull!

Thats what happens when you speed your brains out. What a piece of garbage.

15 pounds in a month is NOT so amazing! That's only 1/2 lb per day. She used to have a very athletic body & with that base & athleticism, it shouldn't have been unusual for her to lose up to 1 lb/day without ill effect, especially if she's doing aerobics & weight training. Glad to see she's trying to get back into shape though! As long as she leaves the booze, smokes, drugs (& punks from now on), she'll be alright & gorgeous again.

If you think women belong in the kitchen you have a lot of growing up, and catching up, to do.

If you take psychology, sociology and/or jounalism in college you will realize how our media and society really do mold young women and men. Also you would know how shallow plastic pornographic images that men who run the show in Hollywood shove on these young women to be picture "perfect," however dangerous that might be to their health or body image. I have a girl friend who modeled for a major jeans company who in my opion is perfect. he workedS for a top agency the kept telling her to lose weight until at 5'9" she weighed 100 lbs. Then they told her she was too skinny! I have another friend who is a professional singer...same garbage. Evil business. I do not buy the crap that we are all to blame for our own dysfunction in our lives. Everyone can play a part unless they have borderline personality disorder and consider themselves perfect and blameless of hurting others.

I'M GLAD TO HEAR THAT BRITNEY IS FINALY ON HER ROAD TO RECOVERY, IF THE MEDIA WOULD JUST BACK OFF AND GIVE HER UNWANTED STRESS THEN SHE CAN GET IT TOGETHER, SHE IS BEAUTIFUL AND DESERVES ANOTHER CHANCE...WHO ARE ANY OF US TO JUDGE????

She walks on cloude 9...what she want from life ?

Good for her! I think she's really getting back on track. She looks happy too, and I bet losing the weight helped her feel better. I hope she keeps getting better and singing, cuz I still like her music. You all need to stop picking on her-cuz you're probably part of the reason she's a "train wreck"!

I am so HAPPY that Britney is getting better! I am so sick of people getting down on the younger generation. Give them a break...If you don't have anything nice to say,"dont say anything at all"

i think she lost all of it in her tiny little boobs, the rest of her still looks fat as hell

Depends if the weight was water, fat and distribution. 15 pounds is not that much in a few weeks. She'll slow down and be working on muscle mass for the next, more than likely.
