What turns men on

I think it's safe to say that men and women are a bit of mystery to each other. I'm single, but even my married friends often puzzle over things their spouses have said or done. The Kinsey Institute conducted a study that sheds some light on what turns men on.

The research team set up six focus groups with men ranging from age 18 to 70. The one thing they found is that what turns one man on may not turn on another. As a woman, I'm glad to hear that. It's nice to know that all men aren't looking for that stereotypical "beautiful" girl.

Some turn ons included women who were confident and felt good about themselves. Not surprisingly a good body and a pretty face were listed as turn ons, but so was intelligence. Feeling emotionally connected to a woman is also a turn on for many men, as is a woman's scent.

I totally concur. Let the foolish straight males have all the ladies. Men are like cardinals, definitely the more beautiful of the species. Isn't life funny. Today we have some straight men pretending to be gay to get the girl. I guess I need to go to the straight bar(read up on the game scores), watch out fellas, I mean bro or dude!!

Who does these so called surveys? All the men I know are into the "girls" who are young, pretty and stupid and money is a big plus, all they do is party and shop and have no morals or goals in life. they barely work and don't know how to cook or clean! these are the types of women that men really want.

I totally agree. I am a sexy, attractive, career oriented woman (by the way also mature), and the men are not kicking down my door. It's like they can sense your about something so they don't even waste their time. Men are like dogs literally, if they can piss on it....it's now their terroritory.

I see the woman that you speak of and I wonder all the time......What the f@## does she have that I don't? You just sumed it all up for me.......nothing and that's what guys want. An easy, profitable and convenient score. When will they wake up and smell other things than just the trees, poles and fire hydrants? LOL

Thats because you and all the men you know are at the bottom of the barrel and an intellectual beautiful woman wouldn't want you. Furthermore, you couldn't handle her because she would make you feel less than a man. So you need a stupid woman to make you feel superior because deep down inside you know you just don't matter- awww!poor baby!!

GU, actually intelligence and knowing your way around the kitchen and traditional skills, and enjoying outdoors-stuff, too ... that turns me on... However, looking at your post, I'd say that while you may know (some) mens' brains, you didn't bother wasting your time learning things like grammar or language:
The ONLY thing that turn's(should just be "turns" - no apostrophe) a men (if there's just one of them, it's a man, "men" means more than one) on?

I totally disagree. Of course, men go for a woman that looks good but if that is all she has it never lasts. It takes a beautiful face to get a man's attention but it takes an intelligent confident woman to keep him. Also, not all beautiful women are idiots only interested in partying and shopping! I also agree with "thedecoy" in that this article is not very informative at all.

I agree with the survey and I think men and women are a lot alike. Different people look for different things. But I do beleive that both men and women have to have a physical attraction first. I am a woman and a guy who is clean and good looking turns me on first! I guess men and women ARE from the same planet!

Camy - I'm close to a man right now that I was friends with first. I never thought a lot of his looks when I got to know him - what I loved first was his laugh, and his sense of humor. After 2 years or so of getting to know him (ok I missed the signs that he liked me)....we're very close and I think he is cute as ever. What makes him that way to me is his humor and how sweet he is. I guess I must be different because I look at how a person acts rather than what they look like.

Unless you're a stunning babe, there's no way I'd be the least bit interested in you except for a recreational romp in the hay - and I wouldn't be surprised if you weren't very good in bed either. The smartest women, I've found, are also the hottest.

The stupider they are the better. This is true because in reality men always want to be in charge and on top of things. Good looks above everything else because it always looks good to be flashing a beautiful babe on your side. If they can cook, clean, and be a great house wife would signify a great wife.
