Women's Health suggests you hand over your loyalty to these 10 friendly foods. They're trustworthy, good for you, and they'll always be there when you need them. These non-toxic friends will never do you wrong.
- Baby Carrots -- Buy them washed and bagged and use them for their vision-improving beta-carotene.
- Black beans -- Buy them canned, low in sodium, and dark and you'll enjoy the benefits of antioxidants, fiber, folate, and magnesium.
- Broccoli florets -- Buy these washed and bagged too and loads of vitamin C, fiber, and cancer-fighting supernutrients are what you'll get.
- Brown rice -- Make it instant and lower your blood pressure.
- Feta cheese -- Go crumbled on this one and you'll enjoy 370 milligrams of bone-building calcium in one four-ounce serving of this low-fat treat.
- Kale -- Choose washed, bagged, and tough stems removed and this leafy green will help protect against breast and ovarian cancers. It'll also reduce the risk of cataracts.
- Pork tenderloin -- With just 140 calories for three ounces, pork is a great lean protein with thiamin, vitamin B6, niacin, and phosphorous.
