Apple-Cheddar Stackers

Just picked up a little recipe card from Kraft at the grocery store today, and thought I'd share it with you. The apple-cheddar stacker recipe offers protein, calcium, fiber, and energy. A decent little snack for the kids or you!
Ingredients:
- 3 oz Kraft 2% Milk Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 small apple, cut into 24 slices
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 24 TRISCUIT Crackers
Directions:
- Preheat over to 350°F. Cut cheese into 12 slices; cut each slice crosswise in half. Cut each apple slice in half. Mix sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl. Add apples; toss to coat.
- Place crackers on baking sheet. Top with apples and cheese, alternately layering cheese slices between apple slices.
- Bake 3 to 4 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Makes: 12 servings, two topped crackers each
Nutritional Information Per Serving: 80 calories, 3g total fat, 1g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, less than 5mg cholesterol, 120 mg sodium, 10g carbohydrate, 1g dietary fiber, 3g sugars, 3g protein, 0%DV vitamin A, 0%DV vitamin C, 6%DV calcium, 0%DV iron.

I love cheese and apples together. Trying to wean myself off of cheese and crackers. =P

My husband makes something similar to this with dried apples, "real" cheese (reduced fat cheese is inedible as far as I'm concerned) and in tortillas. So so yummy!
