Why is it that food products contain artificial lemon flavoring but household products are made with real lemons?

Why do people protect their babies and kids by putting them in car seats and then feed them food with synthetics and chemicals?

If grocery stores have aisles labeled "Health Food," are the other aisles stocked with un-health food?
