Toni Braxton hospitalized with chest pains

Award-wining singer-songwriter Toni Braxton was admitted to the hospital today with chest pains. Braxton, who has won six Grammy's and is perhaps most famous for her number one hit "Un-break My Heart," does five shows a week at the Flamingo in Las Vegas. She also has a heart condition known as pericarditis, as well as hypertension. She is expected to be released later today.Pericarditis is an inflammation of the sac-like membrane that surrounds the heart. Chest pain is common, and though mild cases may improve without treatment, medication or, occasionally, surgery is required. Though Tuesday's show has been canceled, it sounds like Braxton will be right back to work following her recovery.
