What earphones do you use?
I hate to admit it, but the iPod revolutionized the way I run. I remember my first run with it -- nothing bulky to hold, no switching sides of the tape -- just pure, energizing music. It helped me to run faster and further; however, I've run into a problem. I can't find earphones I like.My original iPod earbuds fit me perfectly -- they stayed in place and caused no pain. However, they recently stopped working, so I tried my husband's earbuds -- no luck. I don't know what's different, but something is, and they slide out of my ears. I tried two other types of earphones -- one pair that was like earbuds but hooked over my ears, and the one that was like a standard set of earphones that also hooked over my ears -- and neither of them worked for me, either. The first didn't stay in place and the second pair really hurt the tops of my ears.
Do you have a pair of earphones you really like? I found this forum with some suggestions, but I'll hold off on shopping until I hear from some That's Fit readers.

www.skullcandy.com
Maybe a little juvenile seeming, but they make great earbuds that can be adjusted to fit your canal.

Might I suggest just going to apple.com and re-ordering the same headphones?

My original earphones are from the old-school, original Shuffle, so I doubt apple.com offer the exact same thing. The ones I borrowed from my husband were from a new iPod, so I suspect that's what apple is now selling.

My wife and I bought a pair of Sony's new active headphones.

They go over the ear, but are also canal phones so they stay in place. They have three size ear-hooks, and then three size gels for your ears. Very comfortable and they stay in place. I would recommend these.

I bought the same ones as adam. They are pretty good, not great. You can't hear any bass at all unless it is perfectly jammed inside your ear. It is hard to find good ones that wrap around the ear, so these work. Sennheiser OMX 70's were a lot better by the fell apart.

I got a really great set of "emerge" brand earbuds at our local Fry's Electronics...it had several interchangeable ear bud covers that you can choose from to customize your fit. The sound is great and what i love is that they really block out the outside noise and are super comfortable too!
Good luck!

I also have the skull candy earphones.... I like them because they stay snug in my ears, and you cant hear any outside noises....however, theres this constant beating sound, its pretty faint but its still there....I dont know if its from my heartbeat, or pulse, but it gets annoying! Other than that though, theyre great!
