Scary celebrity diet secrets

How many times have you heard a startlet credit her fabulous body with good genetics or a busy lifestyle. You know, "I swear, I eat junk food all the time! I just don't put on any weight!" Well, I don't know about you, but I generally want to punch those girls. You know, good for them and all, but most of us just aren't that lucky.

Well, it turns out most of them aren't, either. We're always hearing about celebrity diets and fitness routines, and this article in the Daily Mail gives us nine reasons why most of us don't look like most of them. And trust me, these are not things you want to do in order to get bodies like theirs.
  • They take drugs -- Sometimes they use street (cocaine) drugs, sometimes prescriptions (Adderall).

  • They eat nothing but boiled eggs -- Celebrities will follow seriously restricted diets for long periods of time to remain a certain size.

  • They fast -- Many stars have been seen in restaurants ordering nothing but water.

  • They abuse laxative teas -- Enough said.

  • They chain-smoke -- Katherine Heigl has lost weight, but is now rarely seen without a cigarette in hand.

  • They eat peanuts -- One celebrity trainer had a client who drank Diet Coke, ate peanuts, and smoked. She was thin, but looked awful.

  • They guzzle caffeine -- Believing that caffeine raises metabolism, skinny starlets will sometimes drink coffee all day and avoid any nutrition.

  • They wear a patch -- Some have tried wearing a Nicorette patch to curb food cravings. It doesn't work.

  • They spend all their spare time at the gym -- Some stars have admitted to spending hours daily at the gym to drop pounds.

Of course, it's not all stars who go to these extremes. Some celebrities truly do have fabulous genes, and many eat right and have great fitness routines. Just know that it's not everybody who can reach a size 2 (or less) without resorting to unhealthy measures.
