Sex better for health than diet, exercise

Your Total Health's Hoda Kotb informed me via her Sunday program that sex is just plain good for the body, maybe even better than diet, exercise, and genetics. The psychologist who joined Kotb on her show said this is probably true. Just look at all of these sex-y health benefits.

  • Sex fights aging
  • Sex strengthens the immune system
  • Sex nurtures healthy relationships

It's like a turbo-charged life vitamin, this sex thing. It's the greatest gift you can give yourself and if practiced at least once per week, it can really work wonders.

It's not always easy to fit spontaneous sex into a busy week but if you make it a priority -- schedule it on your calendar even -- then it won't have to take a back seat. When sex breaks down, marriage often breaks up. So do what you can to make this appointment for health. If you're not married or in a long-term commitment, don't worry. Flings work too. But find yourself a steady partner and just imagine the healthy pay-off you'll get.
