Sex better for health than diet, exercise
Categories: Healthy Habits, Diet & Weight Loss
Your Total Health's Hoda Kotb informed me via her Sunday program that sex is just plain good for the body, maybe even better than diet, exercise, and genetics. The psychologist who joined Kotb on her show said this is probably true. Just look at all of these sex-y health benefits.
It's not always easy to fit spontaneous sex into a busy week but if you make it a priority -- schedule it on your calendar even -- then it won't have to take a back seat. When sex breaks down, marriage often breaks up. So do what you can to make this appointment for health. If you're not married or in a long-term commitment, don't worry. Flings work too. But find yourself a steady partner and just imagine the healthy pay-off you'll get.

I do believe that to be quite true. Sam, I really feel sorry for you. You're really NOT doing yourself a favor by being celibate.

Its true, sex and some wine will relax you, talk about things you like and dislike, it gets you in a "safe"mood, plus hugging will do the trick!

I have always believed this!!! SEXercise is the best kind of exercise with the right person. Maybe that is why I look 10 years younger than my age!! My second marriage deteriorated due to lack of sex.

VERY TRUE!!! I can only make it to the gym a couple times a week, and has been getting less and less, when I saw my body transforming before my very eyes all because my man and I made a pack to have sex twice a day for the next month. IT WORKS!!TRY IT!!!!!

Until you get that STD that you did not get the painful shots for that MIGHT prevent a FEW of the viruses that MIGHT cause cancer.

More junk science from good ol' Dr. Tell-Them-What-They-Want-To-Hear. The calories you burn from sex can also be burned with a nice brisk walk, but I guess that's not bawdy enough to warrant a story. Does EVERY aspect of life have to revolve around sex?

Yeah, they should all be ashamed for trying to promote something that improves physical and emotional health, decreases stress and saves marriages! Shame on them! Do you guys realize how many married couples have next to no sex or actually no sex? Now how many of those couples don't have at least one partner who wishes there was some? As long as it is safe sex, the positives hugely outweigh the negatives. Everyone should be having more sex. After all, it has been proven that people are more likely to continue exercising when they've found a workout they enjoy!
