Kirstie Alley's next step: Her own diet brand
Categories: Celebrities and Entertainment, Fitness, Celebs & Entertainment
This just in: Kirstie Alley is headed for a new weight loss gig now that she's parted ways with Jenny Craig after a three-year relationship. Alley, 57, hopes to pilot her own weight loss brand to launch in 2009. No hard feelings about Jenny Craig, she says, as she heads down her new hopeful path.
"I want to create something new that will help millions of people end the seemingly never ending fatty-roller coaster ride," reports Alley who acknowledges she and the Jenny Craig company did not come to an agreement about her continuing as their spokesperson.
Says Alley in a statement about her weight loss venture: There was a time when America was not fat, and that was in our not-so-distant past. I'm confident that I can create something exciting and innovative: something that if all goes well, will help change a fat America back into a fit America and will offer this country the healthiest, yummiest, easiest and most effective weight-loss program on the market.

want to speak w/ Kirstie, we are same age, same goals, live in Maine and think we each need
a "partner" to lose weight. It's so very hard. It's best to compete with a friend and work together, help each other out. I am 52 and a grandmother, work in a pediatric office for 6 doctors. My son is getting married in July and I really need a boost and a pal to work with, I get along w/ everyone. If she needs someone to help and feels the same way, I am game. I am married 32 yrs, never had a parking ticket, not really religious but make an ecellent sounding board.pretty tame but notthe less have the same goals. hope she is well and this reaches her. Whenever she is in Maine or whenever she may feel like having a new friend. call.

Dear Kristie,
I did Jenny Craig and had alot of success but my husband said we can't afford it. I am the heaviest I have ever been and can't afford and feel Jenny Craig is too expensive. I am anxious to hear about your company. If I ever win money, I want to go to a training camp to help mentally and in any other way.
Sincerely,
Sheila 53 retired air force, my son is an actor in New York - Keith Merrill-you'd love him.

Hi Kristie, I can related to your up down weight as well. I'm a 42 yr old women and my weight goes up and down alot from a size 16 to 10. I have always wanted to the nutrisystem plan but it is just way to expensive. We have a family food budget of $340 for a family of 3 and I can't justify spending $287 a month on just me. I know that there are many families out there that would love a more affordable way to get fit and eat healthy. I would love to hear from you.
